| The objective of this tutorial is to build a basic knowledge of the entire aspects of international business. The lecture will be running like interactive seminar so there will be significant amount of discussion and Q&A. | Thepurposeofthislectureisto provide a comprehensive but integrated introduction to modern international finance and open economy macroeconomics. The first main goal of the lecture is to analyze the determinants of key macroeconomic variables such as national income, the trade balance, and interest rates. We are particularly interested in the role of the balance of payments in bringing about macroeconomic adjustment in the goods and asset markets. The analysis is extended to the effects of macroeconomic policies and capital flows on the key macroeconomic variables under fixed and flexible exchange rates. | |||

| This course builds on the explanation of income determination and macroeconomic policies. We examine general equilibrium models of output market, money market, labor market, We also investigate the general equilibrium models of consumption, saving, investment, production, and money demand and supply. These models are used to understand the determination of national income and the theories closely related to monetary policy and fiscal policy, unemployment, and inflation. Application of the theories to Open Economy Macroeconomics is emphasized. | |||
