The mission of the Department of Oriental Pharmaceutical Sciences is to discover and establish a new paradigm on Oriental Pharmaceutical Sciences (distinct systems of comprehensive pharmaceutical care that has evolved from the traditional philosophies and practices of Southeast Asia), which have been modernized with scientific knowledge. Students will develop the ability to reason logically and critically on important topics in Oriental Pharmaceutical Sciences and acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes appropriate for further education in any modern and Oriental pharmaceutical specialty. The students will also develop competence in the application of knowledge and attitudes of professionalism as scientists and address the needs and expectations from the associated laboratory of company, government and school.
Kyung Hee University is one of the first universities authorized to have the right to confer a master’s and doctoral degree of Oriental Pharmaceutical Sciences in Korea.
The department offers the Master's course, Ph.D. course and Master-Ph.D. unified course as well.
